Spencer is a native of Lexington, Kentucky and graduated from Dunbar High School. Following High School, he attended Asbury University obtaining a biology degree with chemistry minor and received the biology department award along with Magna Cum Laude honors upon graduation. After graduating from Asbury University, he attended UK Medical School and received a medical degree upon graduation.
In 2005, Spencer chose to marry his desire to care for people’s needs with his passion for investments and money management. He soon joined Hilliard Lyons and was part of their team for 12 years. In June of 2017, Spencer joined Keystone Financial Group as to offer clients a broader individualized portfolio that may further serve their investment needs. He holds his Securities Series 7 through LPL Financial and 66 registration through Keystone Financial Group as well as his Life and Health insurance licenses.
Spencer’s past board memberships include CASA of the Bluegrass, Kidney Alliance of Central KY (treasurer), Lighthouse Ministries, as well as the Shriners Building Committee. His current board memberships are the Shriners Corporate Council and 12 years of teaching Junior Achievement. Additionally, Spencer is a volunteer coach for two baseball teams with South Lexington Youth Baseball. In his spare time, he love birds and fishing. Spencer and his wife, Samantha, have four children.
