Originally from West Virginia, Gena came to Lexington in 1990 after graduating from Marshall University with a BA in Criminal Justice. She served as a member of the Lexington Police Department from 1990 until 2001 where she rose in rank to become the Sergeant of the Domestic Violence and Crimes Against Children Unit. She started her career in the financial industry in 2004 as an Administrative Assistant in an LPL office. From there she went on to Fifth Third Bank and JP Morgan Chase where she worked as a Licensed Assistant to the Private Client Advisors until 2018. She holds her Series 7 registration through LPL Financial, Series 66 registration through both LPL and Keystone Financial Group, as well as Life, Health, and Variable Annuity insurance licenses.
